Crypto - Beauty and the Beast Inspired

My friend, has an OC that is basically herself if the confines of reality didn't exist. I thought this was a neat concept. While her character is, I believe, a werewolf and thus belongs to a fantasy land I wanted to go with something that was more along the lines of what I wish I had been if life had turned out differently, who I could have been if I'd been born a different person.

This ideal me is named Christine Marie Edwards but she goes by the nickname Crypto. It's an alias I'm using with some friends in a role play and it suits me. It just means "hidden or secret". I'm kind of shy and few people know me very well. I also love secrets and mysteries, which brings me to the first element of this character, her careers. I often her holding the notebook that she uses to write field notes and to interview witnesses in her job/hobby as a cryptozoologist. She searches for animals not yet known to science. If I was in better health and had more schooling I would love to have done that!

I often have her dressed as the character of Christine Daae from the musical, "The Phantom of the Opera." Cliched as it may be among musical fans, that was the role I dreamed of playing since I was ten years old! Seventeen years for anyone who keeps track of this sort of stuff. Anyway, Broadway theater has always been my real passion in life and maybe if things had been different or I'd been born a different person I might have been able to take a shot at achieving that dream. That never happened so it seemed like a great career to give Crypto here.  Today though she's wearing a Beauty and the Beast inspired outfit just for fun.  Maybe it's for a role she's playing.  Who knows?

Her appearance is, of course, what I wish I looked like in real life. Tall, athletic build, cascades of beautiful curly brown hair, striking blue-violet eyes... actually quite a bit like some of the women you see playing Christine. Didn't think of that when I was creating her. Oops! Well you can see how I lived and breathed that character most of my life, huh. Quite pathetic really. Oh well, who cares? I guess this description has gotten plenty long enough already. Hope you enjoy Crypto.
